Yes, he said it two more times,
Even as I waved good-bye.

Bereaved and so sad,
Yet, once more I called to him, 

Ever so slightly I, too,  smiled.

    I would take another look at your syllable count. Remember:
    The SEDOKA (which you spelled wrong in your title) has syllable counts of 5/7/7 - 5/7/7
