behind her mask

" i hate everyone"
she screams into the air,
but behind that mask of hatred,
she really does care.
hurt by so many,
she's built up a wall,
she lost her chance at friends,
because she was afraid to fall.
naive and yet untrusting,
not sure who she can be,
while the tears run down her face,
she asks "why can't i just be me?"

Please tell me what you think

This was interesting, lonely, a little bit of a hopeless poem. Not my style as of now, but I appreciate the time you took to enter
