Letter to Pauline Namukasa

Hey Pauline!

What's up with you? Nothing too much is happening with me. It's finally getting warm now here in Ohio after a long, cold winter. Yesterday I had a water fight with two of my friends. I also went wading in the swampish place behind my house and found two clusters of frog eggs. It was so much fun!
But I bet it's always warm where you live, isn't it? That must be nice! I hate cold weather and love the summertime. There's so much I can do! I especially like going to camp. I go to a camp north of me, in Michigan. It's called Camp Friedenswald. "Friedenswald" means "peaceful woods" in German, I think. Most of the year it is very peaceful, but not during the summer! Then, it can get quite chaotic. Last summer during music camp, my friends and I had a screaming rubber chicken named Clucky. He was very loud--not peaceful at all! We squeezed him a lot until they took him away. (We got him back at the end of the week though.)
I am getting way off topic here, aren't I? I'm sorry. I hope you enjoyed my letter anyway. :)
