Behold, My Miracle

Behold, my miracle,
from conception to infinty.

To be told-
you could not be;
and yet, here you are.

Each day, a challenge,
but also a promise...
a promise of the infinite future.

I watch you grow;
from cuddles
to a "young" young-man.

Within my heart,
my soul;
always to be my baby.

Let me say, every day,
every moment;
I may not always say it,
I may not always show it...
you make me proud
and I love you so very much.

And I thank my lucky stars
to behold,
my miracle.

Author notes

(Ugh, I can't write anything lately) That said...

This piece is about my son, who is 9 at the time. I was told that I was sterile and would never have children, and all of a sudden I was pregnant. During that time, I almost lost him 3 times and went through one hell of a pregnancy that destroyed part of me as well. Would I change it? No way! He is my miracle, literally, so to him, I dedicate this piece.

    This is really lovely. This masterpiece you've dedicated splinters my soul as if my Mother had given me thy words.

    I love these lines:

    Let me say, every day,
    every moment;
    I may not always say it,
    I may not always show it...
    you make me proud
    and I love you so very much.

    A very heartfelt and striking masterpiece.

    Thank you for entering and I wish you all the best in the contest. Keep writing.

    Certainly a miracle for sure.
    I am sure he will cherish this
    always. I am sure he knows how
    much you love him, and how proud
    you are, but this just shows how much.

    There is nothing on this earth like the love of a mother.
    Mine was my best friend, even when I was bad.
    She never ever judged me.
