They don't seem to understand
I'm so numb inside
I can't feel anything
I loved her for seven years
And now I had to let her go
Reducing my love for her
To that of a friend
Its the fate I feared
Longing to kiss those lips
just one last time
To hold her just a little longer
Then a friendly hug can allow
Wishing to dry every tear
That she'll shed
