Petals Fall

She throws the flowers at him
petals fall powerless
to consume the hate
not enough time to repair
a heart grown to stone
the images her mind bears
will not allow another try
ever sincere - love will not bind
when it can't feel the heat
or secure the passion
nothing left to venture
never to be gained
It walks away

I like the use of petals as a medium to reestablish the love connection. Even the beauty of the flower's petals can't absorb and contain a love that has extinguished. Just to give up and walk out the door with love and the petals helpless to render a solution. God's blessings to you as you regain your footing.

Thats really sad. Its full of passion, saddness, almost holds anger as well. This is truely amazing and so sad. I can relate to your words and know I've done that to.

    Great Metaphor of Dying Love

Another deep masterpiece, darling Sis. I really like the metaphor of falling petals representing a love injured and, ultimately, of love dying. Well, love never really dies but abuse has a way of burying love alive. It is a difficult task to resurrect it when it resides amid so much pain.

    WELL DONE!

    Sadful and much sorrow

Once love walks out the door, it never seems to turn around and knock on our door for reentry. Its gone. well done.
