Special Friend

Short and Petite
Brown eyes and hair
5'1" and all I ever wanted
We meet at the waffle house late at night
Split those things called waffles and have a good time
Some Saturdays when we both are free
We go Split a Pizza, eat it the Jersey way
Then both full about to burst
We head off to see something in the form
Of a Shakespeare play
Afterwards, to Coffee on the Corner till closing time
Then home we go, with a giant hug and a French Goodbye...
Till the next Waffle.

    :)

that's a really sweet way to go on a date with a girl. i'm not 5'1", but 5'4". this is a way that i would love to hang out and potentially date someone. i wasn't sure about the new jersey way. would you clarify on that? what type of shakespeare play is written about this in the poem? is Coffee on the Corner a local cafe? What's a French Goodbye? What's the next Waffle?

      Here goes Nothing ;-)

The Jersey way is also the New York way, where you have a big slice of Pizza that is floppy and you kind of fold it in half longways. As for Shakespeare, here in my town we have Blackfriars playhouse a Shakespeare theater, of course it is mostly Shakespeare plus some other neat plays. We have seen Hamlet, but that was not the on the Pizza night. The night we had Pizza we saw The Devil is an Ass by Ben Johnson. Coffee on the corner is a local place right down the place from Blackfriars, the plays end at about 10ish and Coffee on the Corner closes at 11. As for the french Goodbye she speaks fluid french and has been teaching me, so we say good by in french ;-) and the next Waffle, well it is of course when we go to Waffle house again to hang out.

Also I never thought I would like Shakespeare as much as I do, and I love going out with her to do these things and I just love being around her... That is why she is such a Special friend.
