one that I could nurture, teach, and love
He sent me His most beautiful butterfly
You are the beat, that supports my heart darling
my child, you are the one
who brings to my life, the joy to go on
It is you who taught me that change is needed
baby, you will grow to be an adult
with choices to make of your own
but I know,
just as a caterpillar becomes a butterfly
change is the axis the world spins on
With the changes in my life,
I was blessed with the most amazing gift
a child, to call my own, a chance to grow
The love you brought to me,
is more than I could have ever deserved
yet, here you are, holding my hand
I know that I am the one who will guide your life
and I will use His tools, as a guide to me
to help you along this journey of your life
without you in my life,
I'd never be the person I am today
You are the future, you are my future
The part of me, I know, will grow
to dream your dreams, reach your highest goals
you will bring change too
change to a world, who is in dire need
a world, that needs hope
I have faith, you will make a difference
I thank God, for that lonely night
and prayer, the words that sealed my fate
when I asked for the sweetest child
He sent me YOU

Children are the key to our future, without them, this world would be so dim, no light to brighten our days. Children are happiness, they are faith and hope and joy, they are all of the good things that warm our hearts and make our lives complete. At least, that is how I feel.
I agree my friend, without children, there would be only sorrow. Great sorrow... pain and hurt. A world without our children, would be a world too terrible to face.

This is elegant! I can see how these words sprouted with inspiration from Deena's poem. Children are the light of the world and so needed with so much darkness these days. This poem is so very hopeful. It gives mountains of hope for the future. I am so glad you chose my sister/angel/friend to use as inspiration for this lovely work. She is a blessing, and a hope-shot for lots of people around here.
Thank you for taking the time to enter my challenge and for this inspirational work of poetry. I wish you all the best.
Much Love & Many Blessings ♥

We all need to return to the "core" of simplicity.
To look through the eyes of a child is not foolish
but enlightening, for it sheds light on truth and shows
us how far we have strayed in our thinking. Wants can only shake our foundation, so the less we have, the happier in essence we really become...
Hugs...Eddy
