Glossopharyngeal Love

A tongue that’s out in the night
passed by my knees by second sight
my body quaked with carnal delight
her lips take flight, her lips take flight

Dark lover waited by the grave
within the wind her hair would wave
The primal thought she did crave
her tongue would wave,  her tongue would wave

Beneath the moonlight we would prance
held forever within the trance
with this sin she would take a chance
her tongue would dance, her tongue would dance

Great mystery as you can see
her wagging tongue beneath the tree
thrusting deep in the mouth of me
her tongue is free, her tongue is free

Author notes

The monotetra is a new poetic form developed by Michael Walker. Each stanza contains four lines in monorhyme. Each line is in tetrameter (four metrical feet) for a total of eight syllables. What makes the monotetra so powerful as a poetic form, is that the last line contains two metrical feet, repeated. It can have as few as one or two stanzas, or as many as desired.

Stanza Structure:

Line 1: 8 syllables; A1
Line 2: 8 syllables; A2
Line 3: 8 syllables; A3
Line 4: 4 syllables, repeated; A4, A4

Poets can write about anything and everything in any form. What a great form you have chosen here, and what an amazing graphic to accompny this poem. Tried one of these before - all about the Mona Lisa - nothing quite as moving as thing one though...LOL

Son of a bitch! I was thinking of Kristin and you while I was reading it. What a coincidence! This is Hawt and hilarious, the double HH! You deserve more than three bunnies for this, but I'll get back to you about that. I'll wait in line just behind Lane. Three bunnies who look exactly like that when they clean themselves.

Talented tongues can do many things, spend a week in Thailand if you don't believe me.

however talented tongues remind me more of Black Elk the Sioux Holy Man:

    as he lamented;

    "our dead never would forget
The beautiful world that gave them being."
"The rivers, the mountains, the lakes and bays
That the white man came to take away -

"And when the last Red Man has perished
and the memory of my people becomes . . .
just myth portrayed in the white mans lies
    These shores will throng
with the invisible dead of my tribe..."

But truth will win out - and its no myth
that Elk expressed and here described
First in Indian dance, then documentation
He has made indelible the history of his proud nation

Ironically when Lieutenant Custer disobeyed his orders
And attacked instead of favoring peace
And sealed the fate of the Indian race
He made "The Little Big Horn" his last disaster

Outnumbered by the combined Indian Nation
Bent on revenge for the many Indian deaths
And protecting the tens of thousands in their camp
Two Thousand plus warriors came from every side

There was no stopping Crazy Horse and Chief Hunkapa
Leading the Cheyenne, plus Sans Arcs, Miniconjoux
Oglala Sioux, Blackfeet and the Sioux,
It took twenty minutes to annihilate "Yellow Hairs" Cavalry

Reno and Benteen arrived far too late
    Finally sealing Custer fate -
But this massacre took away all sympathy
And Custer's Ghost got revenge at "Wounded Knee"

The Politicians plans for peace - took on a frown
And orders came to hunt the Indian down
Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull - and White Feather
All names that will surely live forever

All part of history of which they can be proud
But better you don't speak too loud
For the invisible dead are not far away
And ghosts might come to have their say

"Tongues" are for many things, but the most important is to speak the truth. And far more interesting than a longue lashing in thighland??
