Blindfolded-trusting the one and only
to lead me in the proper path.
Gently guiding me in a narrow door.
Senses are then feeling warmth and a floral bath.
Seated gently by cool glass
and told not to peak.
Hearing footsteps walk away.
What now does he seak?
Returning to my backside,
removing the blindfold.
Allowing me to see by candle light.
The lovely arrangements I was never told...
Seeing the candle light softly illuminate
the gentle petals reflecting our love in light.
The surroundings so incridibly romantic.
Too good to be true, too wonderful to be right.
My heart skips a faithful beat
as an astonished breath surpasses my lips.
I forget to breathe and forget to beat
as a warm touch embraces my hips.
The night carries on ever so flawlessly.
Joyful thoughts cease to escape my mind.
Chatting persists with smiles often exchanged.
Constant laughter and love is all to find.
Embracing each other tenderly.
Our breathing syncronizes together.
Growing joyously on into the night.
Tonight is a night to remember forever.
The candles burn out softly
as the wax cools and hardens.
The flowers still fragrant
as their image fades in the darkness.
Taking out a lighter and a new candle,
lighting it and the others near.
Reaching then for a small box...
Kneeling before me, saying four words I've longed to hear...
