So where have you been little lady
And have you been up to no good?
The message you left, was all shady
Just tell me, you know that you should!
Maybe you broke a nail or two
Or maybe you rode on a train
Maybe you had a dream to pursue
Or maybe you flew in a plane
Wherever you were, I just want to say
I thought of you often then not
I hope you had fun each night and day
And I pray you didn’t get caught!
Welcome home my friend![]()

Wonderful job, well deserving of the silver. Enjoyed the cat immensely. I have two and feel like when my family comes home they just give us a look as if to say and where have you been? Makes me feel like a kid who got caught after curfew and I'm too young to know how that feels yet. Aren't they so good at it? Again, excellent job!

Hood-winked!
I'm not familiar with this poet, but I can tell she's a good friend of your's and must be to deserve a poem like this. Humorous, entertaining, and good on the side of poetry. I liked the smooth rhyming and your creativity. Thanks for sharing!

OMG, this is hilarious, Dove. I bet she did all of this and more... isn't that what 'getting away' is all about??!! Getting away so we can do whatever scandelous things we want to and not have t worry about the folks back home knowing about it

great poem and I love that cat... reminds me a little of my sis's (catz) cat, Boss.. he had an attitude, too.
Good luck in the contest
