Rigth to smile

Each morning she’s fighting
Her way out of sleep
To attend these classes
She ought to keep
She has to get up
She has to go
It hurts so badly
‘Cause she never wants to

His girlfriend’s so pretty
A wonderful cut
He just wants to give her
Everything she needs
But she never returns it
As if she doesn’t care
It burns in he’s chest each day
How can she just let him wait?

Tell me now, if not for you
Then whom are you living your life for
Know that no one can harm
Unless you let them

It’s your choice
It’s your life
So stand up for your right
To get up and smile at us
Time after time
Despair hands no truth
And pain holds no key
To the lock on the chain
On your chance to be free

There’s a deep black hole in my gut
The taste of absence and disgrace
I hate my self
In any possible way
Tears flow in streams of blame
Still I stay alive
Were it truly that bad
I could just chose to die

Tell me now, if not for me
Then whom am I living your life for

It’s your choice
It’s your life
So stand up for your right
To get up and smile at us
Time after time
Despair hands no truth
And pain holds no key
To the lock on the chain
On your chance to be free

Please tell me what you think

I love it! I know that feeling. It is so hard to shake. I have felt it too often. I think this is a BRILLIANT poem. Good job!
