Through rich lush forest we race
Our bare feet dirty with mud
As we come to the river I climb
On proud standing damp rocks
And sit at the top near the fall
My feet dangling over the edge
Like delicate flocks cascading
And I can smell the rain in the air.
Near rushing waters and moss
You climb to my side, and sit
We gaze at the birds singing song
And hear crickets and frogs join in
From limbs, leaves, and water
Their tender voices serenade
And I can hear the echos of our souls.
Under a trembling leaf sky
We sit, as we're nature ourselves
The color of your skin like the deer
And the touch of your hair like wind
The shine of my lips like dew
The shade of my eyes like bark
And I can feel love that clasps us together
Blessed rain begins to fall
Showering all the world
Its beautfil as tumbling diamonds
And clings to my eyelashes
Letting me watch the scene
Through crystal facade eyes
Push lips against your cheek
And while opening eyes, I can taste the shining rain.
And I can see that we are meant to be forever.
