He paid for his wisdom,
Following the old ways.
He sacrificed his eye,
He was impaled upon his spear.
Nothing recived is worthwhile,
Nothing free has value.
Only what we earn has worth,
Only what is taken is valued.
With pain we must pay,
With spilt blood we must bargain.
Fear and terror are coins,
Suffering a blank cheque.
We try to escape our fate,
Surrounded in soft luxuries.
We force others to pay our geld,
Make them suffer by proxy.
But we recieve not wisdom,
For it is merely arrogance.
Our foolish pride,
Blinds us to our fall.
Please tell me what you think
