Be still my ever-beating heart.
Hold - in reverence for this moment.
Our electicity dances on
As you lie mesmerized.
Time stills for an instant,
And the earth shudders to a halt.
Everything pauses to respect
Your stillness.
Though not revolving around you,
The world delays itself
To suit your needs.
Draw this moment out,
And let us feel the mesmerizing
Dance of our electricity.
Pausing is not necessary,
But let's take this moment -
Fleeting and futile -
And if nothing else burn it into
Our memories.
You lie there,
Infatuated by the moment.

seek not the moment,
but the eternal.

ack ack.... oooooh deary me... be still my beating heart... too cliched i'm afraid... and also stolen from
John Dryden in 1697 .... lololololol (the earliest found piece with this phrase)
It's a shame you got carried away with the cliche as you could get a good work from this if you pared it down and worked on your imagery
many thanks for entering our contest
