Save Me

I understand you want to save me
But how things are just isn’t right
I guess we just weren’t meant to be
What must be done must happen tonight

There’s one thing that you need to know
Before this ends and I’m no more
I love you and don’t want to go
But we can’t turn time back to before

It’s true I could still live my life
But what kind of life would that be?
Not knowing whom I could hurt next
That just isn’t enough for me

I know we didn’t choose this way
But please I beg you, end this now
so no one else will have to pay
Save me the only way you know how

Author notes

I have to agree with the last comment in that you always write with a genuine touch of love in your poetry. It is dearly what makes the best poets. I can feel a pice of you in this write from another's perspective quite clearly. You captured and conveyed the after thought full of emotion with very moving expression here.

This reminds me of just how much I miss reading your work! I'm so glad I'm reading it again. You know, I wish I could write like you. You always have your heart on your pen (or in this case, keyboard). I bow to you.

wow, thank you so much. It means a lot to me. I am doing my best to keep improving my writing still. And if you keep at it your writing will become great too. It just takes time. I can see you have great potential already.

That's a great and actually meaningful bit of writing for something whose roots stem from a tv show, and a fictional one at that. It's not always supernatural...divine intervention, and not always religious either...

I should start watching Tales from the crypt on dvd. How I miss that show...
