Little over a year ago, I found this poetic site
I registered then forgot about it (yes I know: not right!)
Every once in a while this Kevin would email me
Saying I was missed , maybe come on back to see
I had not posted a single piece upon it's hallowed pages
For though I wrote, my muse was in one of her huffy rages
Then almost one year to the day, I decided to give it a try
(My online game was being a pain, making me pull hair and cry)
So tenatively I put on here some of my previously written
But quickly found myself by the contest bug was bitten!
Now three months down the road it is and over two hundred brand new pennings
With a lot of shiny trophy's and a hefty balance from winning's
Now a fact, it is, that I am poor so I cannot pay to be
A silver or a gold poet; no fancy stuff for me
But often now I read my way into a free gold week
Oh and making pretty of my stuff I scramble to complete
And a chat room for to say hello and new options all the time
To go to any other site I think is such a crime!
Ok, I admit there are issues still, for the site is far from perfect
But the administration does real well in improving and fixing it yet
So though I must refresh or go to a brand new page
To see my notes and messages, (sometimes it does enrage)
And the limits of a free account are plentiful and sad
This is still one of the better sites that poets ever had
Now all of this is good and bad, though overall it's fine
There is another part to it that makes it all define
For here you find the best of people, they cannot be surpaassed
Friends and family they have become I know that they will last!

Check the second line... it should be Then rather than than.... lol Since you always help me with this sort of thing... thought I'd return the favor... I don't often catch things...

I used to be on a site that charged me just to read poems and post poems. Here you can do that for free. I couldn't afford a silver or gold membership. A kind hearted benefactor paid for my silver membership. I am one and a half months away from my first Ap anniversary. I have written 350 poems and 50 previously written poems.
