Yes, officer I did see the sign
It said, sixty miles per hour.
I saw it just a few seconds ago.

Well officer, I understand the law
and yes I do have an hour to spare
Yes, officer, I was speeding I know.

Okay so we are in agreement
I was doing a hundred and eighty
I wanted to see what it would do.

But come on, let's get serious
The sun was shining, traffic was light
How was I to know I would run into you?

[you gotta hate those speed traps]

It's a brand new car, I had to check it out
it has a V-8, they said it would run,
I needed to know, I had to remove doubt.

Haven't you ever wanted to just line 'em up
and pray the other guy doesn't pass
In hopes you bring home the winners cup?

Awesome, how about tonight then, let's make a deal
your squad car, against, my Monte Carlo SS?
I win, you lose the ticket, I promise, I won't squeal!

    I think you could talk your way out of anything going by this

    You definitely have a way with words and imagination, this has me chuckling and I keep going back for another read, it has grabbed me sense of humour

    You kept it funny and rhymed it too, well done, something that would be hard for me to do

    Yeah! You tell them sis! This was so great. My boyfriend has a Monte Carlo. I like his car and it has nice horse power.
