if only the days from the past could remain
when innocence was real
and happiness was something that wasn't pretended
when love was something that came naturally
and not something that was so hard
when kids on the playground
didn't judge you right away
and when the biggest worry of them all
was whether recess was outside or inside
if only we could hold onto the moments of happiness for forever
instead of watching them dissapear and disolve over time
if only we could keep the memories in a drawer
and when we needed them
we could take them out
to remember what a smile looks like
its said that with age comes the ability to be wise
but what about the pain that comes along with it?
We may become wiser
but why musy we leave the safety of youth?
...we all must grow up
Author notes
everything is better and easier when you are younger...before things get complicated and confusing.

I personaly believe that wisdom can come from
so many sorces and not your age.
This poem tells the truth though, and nikki,
I loved this line:
and when the biggest worry of them all
was whether recess was outside or inside
So true.
