the rain, falling softly
from sky to ground
it's amazing, in this
the joy to be found
the pitter patter lulling me
into a dreamy state of bliss
a clap of thunder sounds
the sky is lit
clouds battling it out
for space in the sky
lightning shoots across the horizon
i let out a content sigh
i drift to sleep
listening to the rain
sure someone, somewhere
is doing the same
i don't know where this came from. i was sitting at the window, watching the rain, and just put my pen to paper....

i love it car! i feel the same way when i listen to the rain! nature poems are fun huh? you used a lot of imagery and made me feel like i was there. my favorite poems are the ones that take me places. maybe i'll make a contest for that! i think i will... but u can't enter this cuz i want something i haven't read before! lol ttyl!
