I ran through the light,
Right off the turn pike,
Then I saw the cop,
Signal a stop,
He said do you know what I'm stopping you for,
I answered sweetly sir I don't know,
Then he asked about the light,
A thought in my head sounded quite alright,
I asked him if he ever had a day,
Where nothing seemed to go his way,
He answered no,
It wasn't as easy as I thought so....
I asked him if he'd ever had a chilly dog, and a large coke,
He looked at me like I was telling a joke,
I told him I had to go,
Really bad, and I'm sure he'd know,
But he smiled and said you are free to go

hahahaha!!! FREE to go or free to GO?
I smiled at your excuses and sweet talk and loved the ending... A very clever poem that would be put up on the wall of a PD somewhere. hehe
