It's a lovely morning,
There's a fog outside
The anemic young spring sun
Turns it into gold
Its a peaceful morning,
the birds barely awakening
The dew still fresh on the lawn
The air is cool, clean,
sweet with the dampness
of yesterday's rain
The beauty of nature
As it awakes slowly
Unfurling its delicate
Tendrils of day
Slow-moving and calm
Is the morning,
When the world is not yet
Fully awake to fill the air
With its daily clamor
The crickets go silent
In the night,
The cease of their
Chirping enough to know
Another morning has come
The songbird lifts his
Little head to usher in the day
My day
Our day
The butterflies
Beginning to float lazily,
The perfect morning scene,
A bluebird scolds noisily
The cold dew on the grass,
Tears of Aurora.
Weeping for the beauty
Of A Fresh Young Day
There's a fog outside
The anemic young spring sun
Turns it into gold
Its a peaceful morning,
the birds barely awakening
The dew still fresh on the lawn
The air is cool, clean,
sweet with the dampness
of yesterday's rain
The beauty of nature
As it awakes slowly
Unfurling its delicate
Tendrils of day

Fully awake to fill the air

Extremely evocative descriptive detail you have here, the imagery is so vivid, I can almost taste and smell what you are writing about. Deceptively simple use of language but it suits the mellow flow and structure. This most certainly paints that special moment when the world begins to waken and we should realise how very lucky we are. Nice write, thanks for sharing such positivity. Cheers.

Great poem. -
This poem is totaly great. It simply TOUCH my heart when I read it.Nice collection of words, organized in excellent manner...
It's great, it paints pictures slowly, in your mind, but as you read the poem on, you see it's true meaning. It gives a meaning, to life itself, to tell you that one thing is true. It's like I can see it happening right before my eyes..

There are a few very telling phrases here - "the anaemic young sun" for example - and "delicate tendrils of day"... but equally, some which I find somewhat weak and vague- "The songbird/ lifts his little head" and "the perfect morning scene" in particular" What kind of "songbird"? - a poet should be more observant! And do butterflies really "float lazily"? The ones in my garden in summer seem to flutter around rather busily.
And do classical deities/personifications really fit in modern poems? Your closing image would strike me as much fresher if it were "dawn" weeping rather than "Aurora".
But please do not take this as destructive criticism - for there are some good insights here... and if you could bring the whole piece up to their standard, it would surely be worth the effort...

I can see the simplicity of the words/metaphors and the subject in piecemeal brining a kind magic of the nature so beautifully..This is just a art piece with its shines of the soul of the poet and the heart of the poet as well..welldone my friend..

Wow that was very lovely, you've put your words together so nicely, the imagery is painted very nicely, great job.
-
The ideas here can be important in a metaphorical sense as we (as a people) strive to create our own dawn across the horizon of time. That the sun may one day rise and find us evolving towards a higher conciousness is wonder, simply.
Best wishes on your future works.
