Prayers for Sal and Dee - NOT an entry.

Missing image
Prayers for Sal and Dee. – A Non-Entry.

Dee Garner was my Greeter when I joined All Poetry
on 25th. November in the year 2003,
and we’ve been buddies ever since as you might well expect,
for Catz, as poet and person both, I hold in high respect.

I’m devastated now to learn of Sal’s bad accident
and. ever since I heard, my heartfelt prayers to God I’ve sent.
I pray, if it is vital to perform some surgery,
that it will be successful to Sal’s full recovery.

Although I don’t participate in contests, Dee will know
that, nonetheless, I pray for her as well and love her so.
I know that she is strong and brave and, at this trying time,
my wife and I send thoughts and words of solace with this rhyme.

"Dear Dee, seek comfort in The Lord and place in Him your trust.
To hold implicit faith in His Almighty Will we must."

Hugh Wyles, March 23rd,2007.

    Excellent...

A very profound write from a caring heart, the love for your friend catz in this time of distress is truly shown sincerely, through your loving words and prayer...

You are a gifted poet and skilled in showing heartfelt feelings, which touched me deeply, and I can see has had the same affect on Dee...thank you so very much for penning this beautiful poem for catz and Sal

    All the best

That is actually rather touching- I know it is not there really to be judged and quite frankly you probably would care if I liked this or not, as it is only directed at the intended. But it is a lovely sonnet and you appear capable of churning these out at will. Without making this sound like…when someone’s on their death bed, who ya gonna call? Or in this case- Hugh ya gonna call to pop out a comforting sonnet. But the fact is that they are incredibly comforting, easy paced, beautifully constructed and properly metered odes from the heart. And quite frankly you would have to be a cynical prick beyond redemption not ever to appreciate one of these. Of all the gifts, all the cards and all the flowers, it is one of these you would cherish.

Thank you, Hugh for this kind and thoughtful poem for Sal and me. He's doing pretty good and we'll know more on the 30th when he sees the neurosurgeon again. You've been a good friend and the sentiments expressed in this piece are much appreciated.

    love and
    Dee

    Dear Hugh,
I was terribly shocked when you told me last night about Dee's Husband Sal. I know how close you are to her and the friendship you have both shared.
My thoughts and prayers go out to both of them and hope for a speedy recovery for Sal.
    Beautiful Sonnet my friend.
Thankyou for the honour of adding me as collaberator
    Love Bea

I am aghast, Hugh, this is the first I have learned of Dee's situation. You are first with Dee too, and this expression of concern is kind and poetic.
