Come back

She lays in her bed,
waiting for you to come back.
She stares out of her window,
watching for you to come back.
This is the pain she left herself in
after she told you good bye.

I see her getting worse,
day by day... Hour by hour.
She's truely sorry
and want you next to her again.
All she wants is for you to come back
to her.
Nothing more, and nothing less.
Just come back.

She cries by day,
she cries by night.
She keeps on promising herself
that she'll get through this.
But I know she's not strong enough.
She tells me, "One more time, please."
All I can do is shake my head
and look away.

When she prays, I pray with her.
She looks at me,
wondering why she doesn't look like that anymore.
There's only you, that she hangs on to.
The memories,
are the only thing that keep her hanging on.
But she needs something stronger...
For you to come back to her...
To me.
That is all I want,
for you to come back to me
and welcome me back in your arms.
