Reaching back through memories
forgotten, yet relived.
The closing of the year, the reaping done,
the Goddess waits at bedside, her
belly swollen with new life.
Her God weakens as the sun grows
dim in the autumn sky.
Minutes of life shaved away
every time the mountains swallow
that ball of seasonal fire.
The closing of the year, the Goddess
shall be alone this frigid winter-
every winter
waiting with an ocean's patience
for the rebirth of her lover,
happy new year...

This is super beautiful. I love how this flows so easily. It's almost as if you just had a little explosion in your head and bam! A whole poem right there. This is definitely not my style at all but I really do like checking out other poetry to get a look at other people's worlds. Thanks for entering!

Oooh. Yay! I was waiting for someone to enter a Wicca poem.
I really like it, I'm just learning about Wicca and my decision hasn't been made quite yet. But this sort of helped me understand.
I have a question if the Goddess is the Goddess of Fertility, then who is the God?
Thank you for entering our contest.

I like how you took the traditional meaning of All Hallows Eve and the wiccan religion with this one. Nice flow and structure.
Happy Halloween
