i was strolling through pigalle as a teen.
taking in sights i hadn't seen.
with two friends, and twin brother in tow.
looking for experiences we didnt know.
the girls were about, brazen and hustling .
scouring for punters, the place was bustling .
shunting their men to seedy hotels.
what happens behind the curtained veils?.
the paddy wagons came and rounded em up .
fighting the gendarme, the tarts made a fuss.
they were dispatched, quick to the courts .
paid the fines and returned as escorts.
we all enjoyed the spirited show .
then retreated to montmarte. where the ambience was slow .
drank and dined to our hearts content .
listened to accordions sounds heaven sent.
we had portraits sketched by pavement artists.
garcons strolled about and didn't notice .
when night had passed .the aromas gone .
we awoke , normal tourists..traversing the seine.

Ah, I remember my trip to Paris vividly
It was only a layover on the way to Germany, so I got metal detected and narrowly avoided a full cavity search, and I got to sit on the tarmac for forty minutes... and the clouds were thick, so I couldn't see anything on takeoff or landing
but you brought me to the real paris
