Kristin Rides

.
I love her
O she makes my heart stir
golden as she rides across the sky

.
She mounted my heart and soared so high
flying to a mystical, secret place of love
for the saddle of my heart, fits her like a glove

Author notes

  Trois-par-Huit

The Trois-par-Huit is a short eight line poetic form that is striking and fun to play with.
This form was created by Lorraine M. Kanter and goes by a few other names as well, the Octa tri and the Three by Eight just to name a few.

The structure of the Trois-par Huit is easy to compose as it only has three stanzas of 3,3,2 or 3,2,3, lines which can be decided on your own personal taste.
As with many forms the Trois-par-Huit has a syllable count, 3,6,9,12,12,9,6,3 and a rhyming scheme of AAB BBC CC or if you were to choose the 3,2,3, line stanza it would be AAB BB CCC.

The last line of the poem should be the title of the piece and should summarize what the poem is about.

    Ethereal,,and very Powerful..Loving Dedication to a Friend!

Amera, you are shining once again in this wonderful style of poetry..but even that taken aside the one who you give the limelight, your dearest friend Kristin,in such wonderful loving imagery. For we that love her, we cannot discount the wonderful fondness we have for our Kristin,"I love her, how she makes my heart soar golden as she rides across the sky!""She mounted my heart and soared so high,"my saddle fit her heart like a glove""Joined together above Kristin Rides" This has such an impact on the readers....We know Kristin to be an endearing love to us all....Being such a visionary in her works and life. It is so suitable to see her riding in the sky....for she is ethereal in thought...Amera, a masterpiece!

    Great.

This poem is amazing. It is very short but it is just long enough to have great meaning. I really like the form of poetry that you used. I may have to practice using it. I really hope you keep writing and maybe publish a poem or two.

I don't think I've read a Trois-par-Huit before, and you make it look so appealing! Wonderful imagery and slow to this poem.

You simply amaze me with your knowledge of the genre. So many writers possess skills, but no history or insight. You have the package. You pen very simple lines which make the reader think, Gosh, where have I heard that before., LOL. I loved it!!

For the saddle of my heart, fits her like a glove.
That has got to be the strongest line in this poem, I wish I had written it, it's fantastic. I like the rest of the poem as well just in case I forgot to mention it lol, but that line has blown me away. I'm afraid I don't know who Kristin is but this is one hell of a tribute, I am even going to pay for extra applauses for this. Well done Amera. Val

An interesting and beautiful piece. So is Kristin's picture. Unusual eyes, pretty, but with a message. I am cognizant of that message from prior experiences but it escapes me at the moment, but it will not forever. yeah, i like this form as well, very cool.

That was a sweet tribute to Kristin, how is she feeling??

Here, a rose for both of you.
