Forever Forlorn

She is staring at the mountain
Trying to make it feel
Her love in vain.
For it cannot feel
Nor can it heal
Her pain.

She is standing there for him
Forgetting the earth and everything.
Such love can bring
A spring
From the hardest stone.
But the cruel mountain was not born
To love and to be loved.
That is the reason
He is forever forlorn.

Author notes

I liked the rhythm in this, the rhyme wasn't consistant yet it worked nicely. You used the word well, a short and quick reference to build up the rest of the poem. Thanks for entering.
