I dream of a lover.

I wanted to thank her for what she had done
but what she had said was out of her fun
she didn't know what pain it would bring
but she didn't realize of how much healing

I sleep alone, and sing nothing to sleep
my mind swarms of my cold matress
wish it were mine that she was holding
but he'll learn of me soon enough

There is a rock out by the water
I talk to Jesus there
He tells me stories of when He was younger
He's such a funny feller

I am so close to those I love
my heart is farthest from the other
I wish I knew why my heart beats
to love a lover that on me Cheats

But I dont care, he can't hurt me anymore
He doesn't know what God has instore
I love the way he tells me his name
Like Christ doesn't know his aproach is lame

My blossom of life feels less then free
but I'll wait my life to be with thee
I sit and sleep for all eternity
until Christ has brought my love to me.

SO I wrote this because I have had a lot on my mind and recently I had an ex tell me that He misses me and that He wants me back, but I am in a place where I can't even think about him and I know that God has something planned for me that is bigger and better.

    BEAUTIFUL and Strong! i know exactly what you mean. I also had an ex-fiance call me up and tell me he misses me and wants me back. God is preparing your future husband for you as well as for me. Keep trusting him and pursue God with all you have. Like i said, this poem is powerful and beautiful!!! Guard your Heart above all. Thank you for this beautiful Poem.
