Poetry in Beethoven's 5th

The rising strings,
They start us off...

There is a song,
Within this place...

There is a song,
A lively song,
A song of life,

There is a place,
A cheerful place,
Of dancing love,

This is the place,
Inside my heart,
This is the place,
When we're apart, where

I.

Can.

Be.

And in this place,
Within my heart,
Where I can be,
When we're apart,

I play a song,
Deep in my soul,
To call you back,
To call you back...

The solo begins,
As my poem ends,
Hear this song,
Late at night,
And remember...
Remember...

There is a song,
Within this place...

Author notes

FourMalletCapricorn woot. That's me. Yep.

This poem's rythum (except for the last two stanzas) is based on the beginning rythum from the first movement (allegro con brio) of Beethoven's 5th Symphony. To understand this poem better you should click on this link and then in the playlist click on Beethoven 5 to hear a more modern version of this piece. Try and fit the poem into the beginning, see if you can!

    It is indeed.

I always like reading a style that I have not tried. You are correct there is a song within a song. I think you did a fine job.

Great tie of music and love. Interesting how you wrote it to Beethoven's 5th Symphony. Good luck in the contest!
