She watched and waited as the minutes ticked by,
she realized it was not a crime,
She was desperate then and had no money,
what was she to just keep running?
It was understandable, I must say, that she regretted what she did that day,
Her heart full of sorrow,
the minutes seemed longer,
every second that passed reminded her she need a plan,
She kneeled and sunk in to a slump,
Then someone tapped her on her shoulder,
she was so startled she jumped,
A man stood there and began to tell a story,
that she faintly remembered from when she was only a small child, It clicked in her mind as soon as he finished,
that this man was her father,
he was soothing, his voice so somber,
He outstreched his arm,
and she grabbed his hand,
just as he said "I told you I would help you one day."
She had always doubted that he would come back,
but he was a man of his word and that's a true fact,
They walked together down three flights of stairs,
until sirens broke the silence and the love was washed away from the air,
He ran up the stairs and she followed him back,
to the rooftop where she pushed down a hard swallow,
Before he jumped he said but one thing "I love you but I can't be there for you every day."
In those last few minutes she learned a lesson,
she had to live life on her own,
She realized something else a few seconds later,
she had earned her father's blessing,
She heard the police coming,
she wanted to jump and be with her father,
but his blessing told her to live at least one day longer.

It has important meaning behind it, however you need to structure each line by putting the poem in to verses.

WELCOME TO ALLPOETRY!
Well done indeed. You have penned a most thought provoking write here.
A suggestion...it would look heaps better if you set this out in verses. That way the reader is able to follow your meaning better.
Something along these lines...
She watched and waited as the minutes ticked,
by she realized it was not a crime.
She was desperate then and had no money,
what was she to do
just keep running?
It was understandable I must say
that she regretted what she did that day.
This is purely my suggestion and after all it is your work
