Poem from a deer Trail
From a mossy glade I strayed
Seeking tranquil hideaways
When the song of a bubbling brook
And a deer trail me betook
To a graveyard on a hill
Wearing larks and daffodils
Hark! Methinks these bards untwined
By the red wing blackbird trill
With glowing phrases all adorned
Once emboldened stanzas roared
The reveled rose its charms extolled
Each verdant thorny vine adored
They sailed the oceans glossy brine
To quell the sirens with their rhymes
The scattered stars their lines o're shined
As well as chirping crickets chime
Now crumbling bones disinclined
Resting where the flowers grow
Where wind sibulant syllables
Out soothe all peace they e're composed
Where the froggies bubbling rill
True tranquility instills
Where haunted winds sough their song
Forever poets resting still
In a list
Please tell me what you think

I love all your work because it is truly astounding. This piece is wrapped in gracious and well thought out metaphors, that are heavily saturated with meaning. The allegory is so consistent, I honestly don't know how you do it. I adore poems like this. I had to re-read the work a couple times just to get all the bearings.
The end harmony in each stanza is strong and flowing. None of the rhymes seemed forced; they just seemed to fit.
Your vocabulary, let alone your imagination is enough to make anyone jealous. I think this is the most beautiful description of any cemetery [whether physical or theoretical] I've ever read.
I can feel your emotion with the topic; I was having a discussion with another poet on this site a day ago about some more popular modern-day poets (all writers, actually) and their pompous lackluster qualities. (sorry to be so harsh)
Anyway, I apologize for the long comment. This is a wonderful poem and I most certainly enjoyed reading it.

Thank you Poet!
Thank you for your comment on Lost Poet Graveyard. It may seem strange to you, but I only just read it today, August 10, 2009, when i decided to look back through my past messages. How could I have missed the best comment I have ever received. God bless you. I hope you are well. It is for you that I write poetry and people like you if there are any more out there. Best Wishes.

hi dear friend,
This is very beautiful. Poets, like nature, have a Spring and a Winter, but we'll always remember the beauties of their works as we'll remember the Nature's beauties.
Wish you the best.
