But I Won't Move

I glance at that mountain view

that casts the shadow on your resting place

Oh the love of it that dwelt in your being

The wind blew and dried my tears

Tears that were cried only a few years before

My weight against the Earth gives me a sinking sensation

but I won't move...

Author notes

Inspired by thoughts I had standing over my step-mothers grave...

    Great!

Nice piece of work, quite epic, it has a certain timeless quality that I like, it is as though this could of been written before the Earth was covered in buildings and the machinations of man.

    :O :(

Oh my god thats so beautiful. I can never stand over graves, I don't think I'm strong enough as a person to remember things like that - even if they weren't mine to remember.
    This is a sticker-write. Excellent.
