Mascaras (sonnet)

Lolita-esque lashes of perfection,
flickers of charming sophistication
Your artificial allure, captures:
bewitches me in euphoric raptures
The heavenly curves of blue-black wonders,
unleashing my ecstatic heart in thunders
Your beautiful mind, the ultimate cure
to forlorn utopia, slowly lures
That sweet, perfume personality, trails,
destroying my morbid thoughts into frails
I follow your sultry scents, change my mind
under your enticing lashes of a kind
My aching heart calls your ravishing love,
Fera vous êtes le mien, mien colombe?

Author notes

Project Lovefest: Flirtation

For some reason I would write a sonnet, although it seems to constraint my expressions, so I hope that you can also see flirtations isn't all about physical appearance in this piece.

If I ever have love letters like this, I would gladly go into a sweet heartache.

Please tell me what you think

    I love the images, when I think of Lolita and HH, I think HE is really the victim in the relationship, she controls him and manipulates him to achieve her own ends. Just one thing, was a little confused about the concluding line- was it taken from the text? the agreement of "fera vous êtes", is both plural and singular, although of course we wouldn't hinder poetic license here? ;

    wow

I've never read a sonnet that I like and this has got to be the first one. This is amazing and so refreshing to read (as til of recent you've frequented the same forms!) I enjoyed this effortless and it really made me miss true poetry. See I've been trying to give ameteurs the benefit of the doubt but no, they pale in comparison to even my skills. To yours they seem so insignificant they cannot be seen. I adore the language in this. Again an excellent write.
