I took him up the tallest hill
of Lake Oswego
and we sat on the bench
legs swinging
hair blowing
mouths smiling.
We ran down,
fast
as wild horses
I thought I would fall
or die
but he caught me
at the bottom.
The feeling: I can't describe.
Is this what love feels like?
All I know
is that I live
for this feeling.
This is why
life is so beautiful.
