Longing Beauty

From the firm ground with it's cool soil
To the deep, warm sandy dunes of the wilderness
Crisp, balmy green grass

Waters tumbling in cascades of power
Frigid and profound basins of clear lakes
Raindrops falling with tender strength

Trees with their roots dipping underground
Branches with fragile, intricate leaves

Mountains so high, unmovable
Yawning gulches reaching so far down
Cliffs, gangplanks of the rocky ranges

The sun beating on me,
Blue of the sky reflecting in my eyes
The beauty brings tears to my heart

I am filled with silence at the majesty of creation
My soul is humbled,
All I want to see is You.
