Laughter spills over the rail.
Young hearts so frail.
Understanding what love meant.
Now left broken and so unpleasantly bent.
Hand in hand, smiling insane.
Brainwashed, as if there was no pain.
High school came, friends vanished.
Suddenly, we were banished.
We ran up the hills so far away from the crowd.
To the place by the sand we had loved out loud.
we walked down the boards where we first met.
to lay in the sand where the water and land met.

This is interesting. Then imagery kept me rivoted and created a whole in its entirety. This reminds me of high school lovers who meet again after becoming jaded by the world. Thank you for taking the time and effort to enter my contest. Good luck!
