He went down to the Crossroads
For he had a twelve o clock date,
His palms were sweaty, his heart pumping fast
For this meeting meeting would forever seal his fate
He wanted to be the best guitar player in the land
But he had been lazy, not meeting his goal,
This is where the Crossroads came in
He was meeting Satan to sell his foolish soul
He waited, sitting on his warm car hood
The eerie silence was maddening, a full moon was at bay,
Not a car in sight, he was bored to tears
And his fears would not even go away
Right on time at twelve am
A black shiny Limousine caught his lazy eye,
He prayed to GOD, am I doing the right thing
Should I stop the car, or let it roll on by
So stupidly he chose the first option
The car door opened, he was handed a scrollike contract,
This is the demon he had summoned
Now he was forever stuck with a pact
For years he was the best guitar player
All over the world he had been,
One fall night, the black Limo returned
Time is up for you, now your fun begins

Very well done. I've actually had musician friends who wanted to go to the Crossroads to improve their skills instead of working hard to get better. You have a very interesting take on this, and I enjoyed reading it. Thank you very much for entering, and best of talent in the contest!

Great
This is a poem that, sadly to say, to oh so true and and frequently happening, mostly to our young people. It makes me shake to even think of what it will be like 10 years from now. We are rapidly headed for destruction.
The second coming is near and or few believe this. This is brilliantly written and anyone reads this should, if there is a heart in their body think, "what is it I'm longing for? What is my limo? Change things before it's too late. Love and well needed!!!!
