Every so often
Life comes along
And kicks us in the teeth
As has happened here
When an unexpected accident
Has caused such upheaval and worry
That one wonders why
Why has it happened?
What have we done to deserve this?
To these questions, there is no answer
No one can explain why this has happened
The wrong place, the wrong time
Who knows
But good things can come out of these incidents
We learn how much people mean to us
And we learn how much WE mean to people
As now, Catz will know that many people
Are sending their hopes and prayers for a speedy recovery
Very often never having met the recipient
But bonded as family through the common thread of poetry

A very touching write, thoughtful and heartfelt, it is so true and I feel the same, many friends are made through our poetry, right here and now on this site...and people become important to us very quickly...I know that catz must feel this too and appreciates your kindness shown in this verse...accidents happen so out of the blue and we have to be thankful that is wasn't more serious than it could have been...thank you for this devine contribution to the contest
