Unyielding, her tears flow freely from open eyes,
In the bright blue daylight of the skies,
Her eyes travel after the sun up high,
But happy, she still, remains nigh.
She travels the sky but still she cries,
She is unable to handle the lies,
She lookes with fury to her husband the sun,
She's aware that she's the one.
The evening signaled the day was done,
Finally she could best the sun,
She took up arms, the sword she wore,
Across the golden sky she tore.
Shadow came forth to choke the light,
The beginning of the longest night,
3 months long the sun shone naught,
3 months long they fought and fought.
At the end of night the sun fought back,
A stroke of her sword revealed a crack,
And soon the sword began to break,
And soon the sky began to quake.
Her heart beat savagely as she fought,
But she knew this time she was caught,
Her tears flow freely, she knew what was to come,
The sun came forth and took her, what fun.
As he swung out of bed to begin the day,
He gave her a look, what could he say?
The day had to begin, he couldn't stay home,
So the moon sat and waited, tired and alone.
