He walks alone now
Along the bleak shore
The storm surges above
Waiting to capture his helpless soul
Pain he no longer feels
Now has embedded itself into his body
To make him numb to all others
Emotionless and unamused
As lightning crashes above his head
He silently says 'They're all the same'
'Don't know what they want or who they love'
'Or even who to blame'
Her image blazes in his mind
The girl that made a huge mistake
She was supposed to be different
Her impression left on his heart
Waves swell, and roll across his feet
He sits on the sand, letting the rain fall
Someday he'll regret waiting to talk to her
Just as much as she'll regret ever doubting his heart
The storm slows, clouds swirl above
A light beacons from the distance
She runs along the beach, searching for him
He has disappeared with the tide; she gives up hope and walks away forever.

Good imagry, and details. A story of two people longing for eachother. A romantic tragedy at that. Good job. :]
Good luck in the contest.
