They laugh behind my back
I hear their thoughts stab me
Why do they whisper, dart glances,
Make fun of individuality?
I've always known I'm different
I keep to myself and dream;
These people are most insecure
Around those they're scared to be.
All of them are cold like winter
Dull, bland, and all the same.
But I am more like summer
A flower wild, bold, and untame.
And while they're dumbing down
Creating drama right and left,
I keep to myself, my closest friends
Where I know my heart will lift.
I may be so small in this world
A speck in a boundless universe
But I know my opinions count
With my lips forming the first verse.

the only person who i know who doesn't care what any one else thinks though its apparent that people talk to make themselves feel better. shes the last person in the world who should be made fun of because she is so much more secure than all of them anyway.
