Two birthdays

In the beginning of the spring
when the merry birds sing,
rain refreshes everywhere,
and lovely is the air,
trees are in their new dress
and the rainbow seems to caress
the sky with his brush
oh, roses seem to blush!
That’s when one can find the love
showering from above.
The love of a sweet mother
who gave birth to her daughter.
A birth when the earth gets anew
happy birthday, my dear, to you.

Shahrzad, These are such loving birthday wishes and I love the feeling of nature that is in your words. Spring is a rebirth for all of nature. You captured me with your words from beginning to end here and I can't thank you enough for sharing the gift of your pen that flows with golden ink. This is absolutely beautiful. Kudos for you my dear sister. Love from your sis, Joyce

    Loving Concern

Dear Shahrzad. Thank you for your kind poem. I always wanted a sister, but all I got was two ugly brothers who never liked me very much.

This piece is so beautiful and full of bright and happy imagery! It makes the elation and warmth spread to my veins....as I am sure it will do the same for your sister! Well, I hope you do well in the contest because you have delved into an abstract way of writing, which I love. There is personification, there are metaphors, and the details help us exert our own emotions. Keep it up, sister!
