spring's bloom/pain's descent

Luscious grass, wet from winter’s icy rain,
Stands freshly cut outside my window’s panes.
Her scent, crisp, sweet, beckoning to my heart,
Allows me knowledge, spring’s about to start.

Daffodils, lining the highways we drive,
Speak, silently, of birth and a new life.
Elegance stands amongst earth’s desire,
Her beauty shines through all of the briars.

Deciduous trees don their newest leaves,
Giving fresh oxygen to you and me.
Breath, so sweet, so alluring, invades life,
Exhale; you will let go of all your strife.

Spring has bloomed before my eyes this winter,
Leaving my heart without pain’s sharp splinters.

This poem made me feel better just reading it. I love the transition from winter to spring. It happened here...then it promptly returned to winter but this made it feel as though spring had returned once again. I think you chose you words very well in this poem and it flows nicely. Keep up the good work.
