Dreamwalker

I hate my damned alarm clock
that sends me off to work
to spend my precious daytime hours
with umpteen other jerks
I'd rather see the treetops
from way up in the air
I want to be a dreamwalker

my wings are made of daydreams
my love is made of mist
my life is full of hope and joy
in moments such as this
so if you come and shake me
I'm liable to get pissed
I want to be a dreamwalker

there are no happy endings
no sunset where I'll ride
the reaper's breathing down my neck
there's nowhere I can hide
I bopp the old snooze button
and gently close my eyes
I want to be a dreamwalker.

This made me smile, well composed this masterpiece flows well with good meter. I’ll walk in your dreams with you and I don’t use an elbow to awaken you. You must however wake up to live your dreams.

    Love,
    Amera
