Dancing Star

Something is happening,
The tides are turning,
My life is shifting out of phase,
The seas are churning.

A frightful storm is coming,
I hear the coming thunder,
I will be lost like tears in rain,
This flood will pull me under.

Landscapes rearranging,
But I will wait for you,
Where the cars are like water,
And the road is like a stream.

Hold on for me,
I’m falling and dying,
For your touch,
My heart is burning.

I have seen the light,
Within your eyes,
And it is burning you,
For all your shallow lies.

Nothing less than gratitude,
Will heal these broken,
Wings of mine.
Harmless words are rarely spoken.

I can see you here tonight
The world is tearing you apart
But you must have chaos deep inside you
To birth a dancing star
