With Heavenly Shout!

Excitement now builds in Heaven's town square

All things are fulfilled, soon trumpets will blare.

As angels rejoice, the Groom leaves His Throne

To gather His bride and call them His own.

Assembled are those who've gone on before

and prophets of old watch from Heaven's shore.

Earth sleeps now in peace not knowing her time

Has come to an end- she's still in her prime.

Her people are full of disgrace and scorn

Self serving and vile but soon Earth will mourn.

But those who have placed their life in His care

Await His return persistent in prayer...

With Heavenly shout He divides the sky

All eyes will behold as Jesus comes nigh

The ones who have died will exit their tomb

And those still alive will gallantly zoom

To meet Him on High for He's come to claim

His beautiful bride- those called by His name.

Author notes

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend form heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Acts 1:9-11
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up , behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Truly a gorgeous piece, Melissa! I am amazed at your depth of creation in this write. The flow of deep spirituality is excellent. I loved the use of the word "zoom." Congrats on the shiny silver for your mantle. This is most deserving!

    Absolutely Marvelous!

    This is my favorite part:

"Earth sleeps now in peace not knowing her time
Has come to an end- she's still in her prime.
Her people are full of disgrace and scorn
Self serving and vile but soon Earth will mourn.
But those who have placed their life in His care
Await His return persistent in prayer..."

Greatly flow and rhythm. I had to laugh at the "zoom". We will be so out of here!

This was good to see from ya, young lady!

Very nice poem about the things we have to look forward to. When that trumpet sounds, all these things take place. You have created a lovely poem from the Biblica reference, well done!

For those who have the strength of the lord behind them, by following in love and devotion, shall inherit the knowledge and skill to speak of times to follow. They will see clearly the path of true enlightenment, as darkness falls on the others who are blind, the light will shine bright for the believers. A fantastic piece Melissa, I truly feel you had a helping hand with this one, and we all know who's.

    well done.
