The pains in life create agony and dispair.
You can't see the light, you're in satan's snare.
The darkness settles and turns day into night.
You want badly to escape, you're too weak to fight.
As your tear soaked pillow cradles your weary head,
all you can see is the darkness ahead.
Depression has set in at an alarming rate.
Your heart is consumed with self pity and hate.
You are a prisoner of your emotions, deeper than
all of the seas and oceans.
Just as you begin to think happiness doesn't exsist,
you hear some encouraging words in the midst.
"I an with you, do not be afraid, reach out for me and call my name."
You are suddenly released from your shackles and chains, knowing what God's love contains.
You were never alone, he was always by your side, even in
the darkness where you would hide.

Isn't that such a great feeling.
