To hold is to be held
And my joy is found in your arms
I hear your love as your lips touch mine
A sequence of longing so bright
The joy between us swells unbearably
A touch sounds golden bells in the twilight
The glow of the moon revels in our embrace
A hold that will break all bonds
Constraining our bursting hearts
A single touch can send us
Cart-wheeling into the unknown
The radiance of our glow
Casts aside shadows of lurking doubts
Past shadows flit by on their way
Yesterday’s rain pools under our backs
Starlit landscapes slide across the sky
A blooming flower graces the night to the East
Stars preside over our lonely figures
The world tilts
And we are thrown into each others arms
Happiness prevails yet again
Disembodied emotions soar
Between what little space is left between our bodies
Cold seeps in
Our frozen bodies lay intertwined
On the cold hard lawn
Groping hands find one another
An innocent landing touch
Provoking the fires within
Cold runs down our bodies
Flames eat us up from inside
Drowning out our sorrow
We tumble up from the ground
Soaked in tears and dew
Skylights singe us with their brilliance
A new love has arisen
To take hold of an old hope
A lost despair
So tangled in these sheets are we
That the cold passes us by
To linger on another
Lost in the blissful aftermath
