The most beautiful thing I had ever seen
Had brilliant green eyes
That stung my soul
And brought four walls
Crashing down around my feet...
She took my hands
And put them to her chest
Said I could penetrate her heart
If only She could let herself
Be taken apart again
And I fell for her
So fast my head spun
My knees buckled
And my legs gave way
To eternity
Soon, I found myself drowning
My aching heart had never known
Such passion and fury
She could turn on and off
Like a light
Though I always loved her
Even before the day
She introduced herself to me
Soaking wet and running from the rain
I couldn't handle her
Her wide-eyed mysteries
That burned the words out of
A book resolved to become dust
Were too wild, and far too apathetic
To ever remember my name
She was mad, I recall
While she etched her name
Into the nape of my neck
I couldn't help but think
Of love, and the absence of it
Obsession kept me from leaving
Before she took herself away, anyway
The best thing that ever happened to me
Had a death wish, and was on fire
Prone to leave me stranded at the end
Whenever she should choose.
Author notes
yeah. it's about being in love with someone who tears you apart...but it makes sense when you read it i guess
